An enraged 16-year- old girl, identified as Maureen (surname withheld) in Emede Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State over the weekend poured some acidic substance on her boyfriend due to his cheating habit in the last three months of their relationship.
Maureen who was arrested and is currently in police custody admitted to committing the crime and revealed during that her lover failed to keep his own part of an oath they took together by cheating on her.
The victim whose identity was not disclosed in this report was caught having sex with another girl in a hotel room located in the same community.
The source who caught him tole the suspect about her randy lover’s affair and she rushed to the hotel where she poured the acidic substance she got from her father’s car on him.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed sources disclosed that the suspect actually poured the acidic water on the victim’s genitals which by implication might make him impotent for life.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesperson, DSP Celestina Kalu, said the suspect claimed she was irked by a breach of oath by her boyfriend and decided to teach him a lesson.
She said, “I was determined to teach my boyfriend a lesson. So I went into my father’s car park where I picked an acid water to teach him a bitter lesson.”
He added that the victim is currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed private hospital.
The suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigations into the matter are completed.
