Embattled FIFA president Sepp Blatter has said pressure from ex French and German president influenced to decision to award worldcup to Qatar.
He alleges that Nicolas sarkozy and his German counter-part sought to influence voting which resulted in the emergence of Russia and Qatar as worldcup host.
Blatter, who has come under investigation for corruption in FIFA said: “That is the reason why we now have a World Cup in Qatar.”
He added: “Those who decided this should also take the responsibility.”
The process is now under investigation by the Swiss officials. Blatter had announced he would step down at the helm of affairs in FIFA.
