The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 stated that he was sure that the late matriarch of the Awolowo family, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, is in heaven now.
Adeboye made this statement during a private prayer session with the deceased’s family at their house in Ikenne, Ogun State, Vanguard reports.
He said: “By the special grace of God and because of my interaction with Mama, I have no doubt at all that she is in heaven now.”
Adeboye told the attendees at the Efunyela Hall that the personal experience he had with late Mrs Awolowo, two weeks before she died, spurred his decision to believe she is in heaven.
Although he declined to go into details of the said experience, Adeboye said: “Before Mama passed on, she was making a request and I was contacted.
“I won’t go into details about the request but I was abroad and when I came back I saw her and we had a little discussion before she passed away. As a result of that I have no doubt that Mama is resting with the Lord.”
