A counsel to the Nasarawa State Government, Ruqayyat Tijani Usman has been fired by the state government for airing her opinion and being critical of the state government.
According to information gathered, Usman was sacked after she questioned the state government on Facebook over the death of a nurse Ibrahim Oshafu, who died following the outbreak of Lassa fever in the state.
Usman happens to be the granddaughter of the Emir of Nasarawa, Hassan Ahmad II.
Speaking through her twitter handle, @rukey_teejay, Ruqayyat said: “They said i am being critical of the govt i serve..therefore my appointment as a state counsel is hereby terminated.”
