Chief Imam Of Ibadan Land, Sheikh Baosari Haruna Passes Away At 93

President, General League of Imams and Alfas, who is also the Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheikh Baosari Haruna III,  has passed away at the age of 93.

The cleric’s death was made known through the President, Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Abdur-Rahman Balogun.

He died in the early hours of Thursday, April 9, 2015 after a brief illness.

He will be buried in Ibadan according to Islamic rites by 3pm of the above-mentioned day.

One of the deceased cleric’s last public outings was on March 25, when Muslims from all walks of life gathered at the Eid Praying ground in Ibadan to offer special prayer for the nation.

He led the prayer which was called by the Muslim Ummah of South- West‎ Nigeria (MUSWEN).

During the session, Mr. Haruna told that gathering that the prayer was necessary especially during the election period.

May his soul rest in peace.
