President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the service chiefs of the army, navy and air force.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made this information known while speaking to State House correspondents on Monday, July 13, 2015.
Adesina did not give more details except that an official statement was being prepared by the Presidency on the development. He was silent on the status of chief of defence staff, Alex Badeh. It is believed that he was also affected.
It is expected that their replacements would be named in the official statement.
The services chiefs were appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.
