Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, on Friday April 3, 2015 urged president-elect General Muhammadu Buhari to remain magnanimous in victory and rule the country with the rule of law as a guiding principle.

The message was contained in his Easter message, which he read to journalists at the Government House, Akure.

Governor Mimiko besought General Buhari to fulfill his campaign promises, especially the bringing about of change, which was the theme of his presidential bid.

While pledging his administration’s support to the incoming federal government, Governor Mimiko lauded the statesmanlike gesture of President Goodluck Jonathan in congratulating General Buhari, even before the election results were officially announced, adding that his action was a step in the right direction to strengthen the country’s democracy.
