A total of 80 Nigerians are awaiting execution in Malaysia after being convicted for drug-related offences, a report this morning said, quoting sources at the Malaysian Embassy in Nigeria.
The report, by ThisDay also quoted one of the sources as saying: “As at today, 123 Nigerian students are in various detention centres after being arrested by Royal Malaysian Police for drug trafficking. This is out of a total of 350 foreign students in detention in Malaysia.”
The report put the number of Nigerians on death row in Malaysia at 81.
