A man has filed a suit against a popular actress with claims that she caused him some ‘spiritual damages’ after she stared at him through his television screen.
According to court documents in the People’s Court of Shanghai, China, the lawsuit names Zhao Wei as the defendant, claiming that she stared at the man with her big eyes through the television screen.
According to World Wide Weird News, the man wants compensation after suffering spiritual damage by the staring.
The defendant whose net worth has recently surpassed the $1 billion mark used to work as a kindergarten teacher before she became an actress.
Wei has carved a niche for herself by starring in several movies and getting large fees for endorsements.
The actress has also promoted more than 120 products, ranging from health and beauty supplies to wines to motorcycles.
The actress has also earmarked mouth watering contracts with notable companies including Mercedes Benz, DeBeers, Versace, Zegna, Dior, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Motorola and so on.
The aftermath of the case is yet to be disclosed.
