Adamu Mohammed Duguri, who is the older brother of Bauchi State governor has said that N50 million ransom was paid to secure his release from kidnappers.
Duguri who spent 13 days in captivity, said security agents had no hand in his release. Kamal Abubakar, the Police spokesman confirmed his release on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
Duguri said the kidnappers told him that they had never kidnapped someone as high profile as he was and therefore demanded N350 million. A ransom was eventually paid but it was N50 million.
