Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal is satisfied with the club’s attack department and is not looking to sign new strikers in the current transfer window.
Despite losing Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao who have since joined Fernebache and Chelsea respectively, the Dutch manager is satisfied with having utility player, Wayne Rooney lead the Red Devils’ attack this season.
“No, that is not a special item for me – it is more in the media they are discussing about a striker,”
“The striker is Wayne Rooney and we also have Hernandez, Januzaj and Wilson. It is not a special objective for me.
“But when we can buy another striker who has a lot of qualities, more than our players, then we buy. But we have always done that.
“I said it before but they are not writing it. I have said it before, we have Rooney. You said he has to play in a striker’s position.”
Manchester won their first premier league match of the season against Tottenham 1-0 on Saturday through a Kylie Walker own goal. Rooney’s performance was below par on that occasion.
