Nigeria has remained at number 43 on the latest Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) ranking for the month of December 2014 despite missing out on the African Cup of Nations to be held in Equatorial Guinea in February 2015.
This means Nigeria is the ninth African team behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Guinea and Senegal.
World Cup winners, Germany still maintain the number one spot in the monthly ranking. The next ranking will be released on Thursday, February 12, 2015.
