‘Nnamdi Kanu Vows To Work With Us In Removing Buhari’ – Fani-Kayode

Nnamdi Kanu, the self-exiled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, will work to remove President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019, one of his associates, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said.

Mr Fani-Kayode, a former minister and vocal critic of Mr Buhari, said this in a tweet on his Twitter handle @realFFK on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

“I just received a call from my brother Nnamdi Kanu. I am delighted that he is alive and well. I commend his strength and courage even as I marvel at the loyalty, resilience and commitment of his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor and IPOB. We have agreed to work together to VOTE Buhari out,” he tweeted.

On Friday, Nnamdi Kanu made a re-appearance on Facebook live after almost 13 months of being “missing” following a military raid on his father’s compound in Abia State. In the video, the separatist leader was praying in Jerusalem in jewish garb.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu, said that the man in the video was indeed his client. He, however, did not explain how Kanu made it to Israel.

Following the September 2017 raid on Kanu’s family compound, in which 27 person were killed, the Buhari government outlawed his group, IPOB.

Chief Fani-Kayode and Nnamdi Kanu met at the Kuje Prison in Abuja when both men were incarcerated by the Buhari regime. A friendship blossomed after their meeting. The former aviation minister was one of the first persons that the self-determination activist visited when he was released from prison on bail in April 2018.
