A cult group have trailed and shot dead a suspected member of their rival group in a supposed revenge mission on the attack of their gang member around Ughelli Central Garage, popularly referred to as Ughelli Urban in Delta State.

Some suspected cultists attacked and maimed a rival gang member within the same area in broad daylight which fueled the counter attack that claimed one.

According to a source in one of the groups, irked by the attack on their colleague who is currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed private hospital within Ughelli, the gang mobilised and attacked the late Kess Olotu as a warning to rival gang members, Vanguard reports.

A member of Ughelli local vigilante and senior executive of Otor-Iwhereko, said, “Immediately we got report of the incident, we mobilised and chased the boys leading to the shooting and arrest of one of them by the police.”

Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased identified as Kess Olotu, has been buried in his community at Otor-Iwhereko within Ughelli metropolis.
