Former Minister of Niger Delta, Elder Godsday Orubebe has come out to debunk claims that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the Twitter handle used to post the tweet did not belong to him.

Speaking via a telephone chat with Punch on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 Orubebe said he remained a proud and committed member of the PDP.

He further threatened to initiate legal action against media houses which published the story without prior confirmation.

He said: “It is not true that I am leaving the PDP for APC; it is not true and it cannot be true. I am taking online media, who have published the story to court.

“I am a core PDP member. I am with my oga (Goodluck Jonathan) and we are planning to reorganise the PDP to make it a party of unification.”
