Paul Usoro Sworn In As 29th President Of The Nigerian Bar Association

Paul Usoro, a senior advocate of Nigeria, has been sworn in as the 29th president of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA at the on-going NBA Annual Conference at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on Friday, August 31, 2018.

Usoro, also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a founder the law firm, Paul Usoro and Co, takes over from the out-going NBA chairman, Abubakar Mahmoud, a former state attorney general in Kano State.

Mr. Usoro, is a director in a number of bluechip companies including Airtel Network Limited, Nigeria Bulk Electricity Traders Plc, Marina Securities Ltd, Premium Pension Ltd, and PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc.

The new NBA leader hold a Bachelors of Law Degree from University of Ife  where he was president of the Law Students Association.

He was called to Nigerian Bar in 1982. He was first appointed a member of the national executive committee of the Nigerian Bar Association appointed during the tenure of Chief Bayo Ojo SAN and served in the same capacity under several NBA presidents.

His spouse, also a lawyer, Mfon Usoro was chair of NBA-SBL.
