Must read

Women groups  in Lagos took to the streets early this morning, March 6, 2014 in a “Mourning March” to mourn the gruesome massacre and abduction of school children in the northeastern parts of Nigeria by insurgents.

The destination of the march was the Lagos State Government Secretariat in Alausa, where they submitted a letter of protest for onward transmission to the Federal Government.

The letter demanded that the Federal Government take drastic action against child killers, even as the women decried the unwarranted killing of young people, which they noted has taken a new turn as militants now freely target and kill school children.

According to the women, the mourning march  is also holding simultaneously in Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Ekiti to condemn the spate of killing and abduction of  school kids by the Boko Haram Islamist sect in the north.
