The perpetrators of the bombing of the Kano luxury bus park in March 2013 have been arrested by the Kano State police command.
The information was made known by the Police commissioner, Alhaji Adenrele Shinaba who told journalists that the criminals were in custody along with exhibits recovered from them.
He refused to divulge the identities of the suspects saying that it would hamper their investigation, he stated that the fact that the suspects were arrested long after the incident showed the commitment of the police in ensuring that Kano state is crime free.
In another development, Mr Shinaba announced the recovery of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state, based on a tip-off from members of the public. “The recovery process was by the grace of God as the devices had been primed for detonation,” he said.
No arrest has been made as the culprits are at large and the building is still under surveillance.
He thanked members of the public for sharing information with security agencies and urged them to continue to pray for the well-being of the nation.
