Following  the recent crisis between Ukraine and Russia, the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission (G7 leaders) met in Brussels on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the G7 format to find possible solution to the crisis  as well as other global foreign policy issues, the global economy, energy, climate change and development.
