Former Queens Park Rangers manager, Harry Redknapp has revealed that former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jürgen Klopp wasn’t Liverpool’s first choice option to replace sacked Brendan Rodgers.
According to Redknapp, former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti was contacted before the German who was unveiled on Thursday was offered the job
Despite Liverpool denying that they approached the Italian, Redknapp thinks otherwise. Speaking to talkSPORT Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Tuesday, the former Tottenham and QPR boss said:
“I have heard from good sources that he [Ancelotti] was offered the Liverpool job. I don’t think (he wanted it). They spoke to him at some stage.”
