‘It’s Sad’: Defender Kenneth Omeruo Pays Homage To Vincent Enyeama

On-loan Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo is already missing his former international teammate and skipper, Vincent Enyeama who retired from the Super Eagles on Thursday, October 8, 2015 after a row with coach Sunday Oliseh.

Omeruo who currently plays for Turkish side, Kasimpasa took to Instagram where he wrote a tribute in honour of the Lille FC goalkeeper.

“You are one person that have always watched my back.. One person that always keeps me in the perfect position.. It’s sad to know I will no longer have u.. So I want to thank you for being a great captain.. I know first hand Nigerians Love you.. The team will miss you greatly.. Much love senior man..,” the 21-year-old wrote.

Omeruo missed Nigeria’s 0-2 defeat to Congo on Thursday as a result of an injury which will also keep him out of Sunday’s game against Cameroon.
