SAD: Harris Wittels, Producer Of ‘Parks And Recreation’ Found Dead In His Home

Harris Wittels, writer and co-producer of popular NBC sitcom, “Parks and Recreation”, is dead.

Wittels, who has had a long history with drug addiction, was found dead in his home by his assistant on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Los Angeles at the age of 30.

His death comes just a few days before the series finale of its seventh season.

Wittels coined the word “humblebrag” with his Twitter account bearing the same name, which eventually became the book “Humblebrag: The Art of False Modesty,” published in September 2014.

Apart from his exceptional writing skills, Wittels was also a stand-up comedian and the night before he was found dead, he performed at The Meltdown comedy theater in Los Angeles.

His death is being ruled as a possible drug overdose but the Los Angeles County office are still investigating to find out the real cause of his death.
