The much talked about and highly anticipated 2015 billboard music awards has come and has gone. The ceremony which took place on Sunday, May 17, 2015 saw a lot of highs, glamour and style. And these are our favourite moments of the event. Enjoy!

1.  The Premiere of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” Music Video
Taylor Swift certainly showed off her style and a ton of equally stylish friends during the cause of the big night.  The billboards awards were opened with her highly anticipated music video for ‘bad blood’, The video was received amid cheers and sighs from the audience (well, it took so long).

2. Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love” and “Infinity” performance.
Something old, and something new! This is the first time in 17 years that the singer has honoured us with a performance at the BBMAs and she certainly blew us out of the water with her high notes. And to think she had cancelled a Las Vegas show just three days earlier because of bronchitis.

3. Empire cast’s performance of “You’re So Beautiful”

Empire fans were not left out as the Lyons had a wonderful gift for them when Empire stars, Jussie Smollet (Jamal Lyon) and Bryshere Y. Gray (Hakeem Lyon) wowed the audience with the one show’s most popular tunes ‘You’re So Beautiful’. And good news for fans as the show is set to return in the fall for a second season.

4. Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea brought in the ’80’s

These ladies know a thing or two about partying and when they teamed up for the first time ever together on stage to perform their latest tune, ‘Pretty Girls’ on stage, the audience knew to expect an ’80’s party performance as depicted in the music video.

5. Simple Minds Performs “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”
Molly Ringwaldb introduced the band to sing the theme song of her 1985 classic The Breakfast Club. She also paid tribute to the film’s director John Hughes who has died while also hitting it off with Miss Taylor Swift.
