Muslims Who Believe In Sharia Law Should Be Deported – US Republican

Must read

Newt Gingrich, a US Republican politician and former United States house speaker, has said that a test should be carried out on Muslims in the United States to determine those of them that believe in Sharia law.

Gingrich made this declaration Saturday, July 16, 2016, saying that those Muslims who believe in the law should be deported from the U.S. Sharia is a legal code based on the Quran and other Islamic scriptures.

The former speaker was reacting to the Friday, July 15, 2016, attack in the French city of Nice, which has claimed at least 84 people, including a 6-months old baby.

“Western civilisation is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background and if they believe in Sharia they should be deported,” the BBC quoted Gingrich as saying to Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

He added that “Sharia is incompatible with western civilisation. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door.”

His comment is similar to the opinion held by the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, who has said Muslims should be stopped from entering the U.S.
