A woman has died after being stabbed in a daylight attack in north London.

Witnesses said the victim, who was in her 40s or 50s, was knifed in the neck on a residential street in Tottenham at around 1pm this afternoon.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being quizzed by police.

Officers said the woman was rushed to hospital but died from her injuries.

Sergio Fernandes, 21, who works nearby at Unity Radio Online, said eyewitnesses told him the woman knew her attacker.

“They just said that these people had a history and that the man came and stabbed her four times in the neck,” he said.

“He stood there rolling a cigarette while they were waiting to take her away.”

Mr Fernandes, who arrived at the scene after police and paramedics, said he was told that the woman had just dropped her child off at school.

Police said road closures are in place as the investigation continues.

  1. This is very serious. No matter houw uncevilised africans can be, this can never happen in Africa.

The man must be killed also.

    • George, the United Kingdom abolished the death penalty years ago so its sad because this man will get a maximum of 25 years, which is actually 12 and a half years and if the case becomes high profile, they will give him a new identity when he gets out of prison to prevent people from retaliating. And I forgot, they will also give him money when he gets out of jail to make up for all the time he has been locked away on tax payers money. Its sad and sickening but the system in the UK does not have stringent measures to deter people from committing such violent crimes.

At least they have a system that works, Nigeria’s system is a different story
