Must read

The pathetic PR stunt by fledging artiste, Skiibii Mayana is still fresh on the minds of many Nigerians. It’s not often that an artiste fakes his death just to gain popularity.

A number of people are still seeking clarification on the issue. The Five Star Music trio of Kcee, Harrysong and the ‘resurrected’ Skibii were on Wazobia 95.1 FM’s morning show with popular on-air personality, Yaw seek redemption from Nigerians.

Speaking about the incident, Harrysong revealed that it was not a stunt. According to him, Skiibii really slumped but he also got the information like everyone that Skiibii died. He said he was even in tears when he heard the news. (Why don’t we believe him?)

On his part, Kcee who arrived the station straight from the airport (he is just returning to the country, supposedly) from Sweden, blamed the entire incident on miscommunication. He said that the label’s general manager, Soso Soberekon is to be blamed for breaking the news without confirmation.

Kcee says that he was in tears when he heard the news as he was out of the country at the time. He further stated that even if Skiibii really died, Soso had no business breaking the news to blogger, Linda Ikeji without consulting with the label.

Kcee, who is the co-founder of the label alongside his brother, E-Money revealed that Soso is currently on suspension from the record label and may not be taken back if he doesn’t apologise to Linda Ikeji for the miscommunication.

‘The Lazarus’ of the whole story, Skiibii, who spoke very softly and briefly revealed this was not the first time he would slump. He said it had happened to him aboard a plane with music producer, Del B.

According to him, it happens to him when he is super excited or stressed. The OAP, Yaw advised him to find time to apologise to Nigerians.

Hmmmm. Why don’t we believe these people?
