I love this quote by Randy Pausch: “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”
Mike Murdock said that “the proof of desire is pursuit.” See, you can think about it all day; you can dream about it all night; you can talk about it too, continuously; but you may never get it until you go after it assiduously.
Don’t quit because you are tired; in fact, don’t even contemplate quitting until you have gotten what you want. Discouragement may set in; you might be disappointed by those you thought would assist you; you might even feel ignored: but don’t give up. Ask, and keep asking until you receive; seek, and keep seeking until you find; knock, bang the door harder, when your hand begins to ache, get something stronger to knock with; keep knocking on the door until it is opened up for you! Give it no rest until it is done!
