Spirit And Life Devotional: Satisfaction In Christ

Must read

Spirit and Life Devotional is a daily publication by Pastor Chinaemerem Ibezim, senior pastor of Able Ministers Chapel, a church based in Calabar, Cross River State.

The dictionary defines satisfaction as being contented and pleased. Like when you eat until you’re okay: some eat and drink until they are “belle full” (their stomachs are full); that’s satisfaction.

God truly satisfies, and true satisfaction in life can be found in Christ alone. The good thing is that there’s both physical, spiritual and emotional satisfaction in God! It’s a complete package.

People look for satisfaction in things that can’t truly satisfy. There’s an invitation to be truly satisfied. Isaiah 55:1-2 says, “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat.

Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.”

There’s satisfaction too, in the presence of God, that’s why it’s good to go to church! Psalm 65:4 says, “Blessed is  the man You choose, and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple.” Hallelujah!

You’ll be satisfied today, in Jesus name.
