Romans 10:8-9 NKJV “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
We know that faith comes by hearing the word of God, and the Scripture calls it the word of faith. Meaning that every word of God that you hear is capable of producing faith in you. Now, Paul highlighted two things, believing and confessing. That’s what faith is really about, we must learn to do both for faith to produce the desired results.
Notice those two things again in the words of Jesus, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Again we see that we must confess and believe for there to be results.
2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.” Hallelujah! So if you believe you must also speak! And if you speak you must also believe. Don’t stagger in unbelief, keep speaking and keep believing, it will come to pass!
