A suspected Boko Haram sect member and a fake soldier has been arrested in Bauchi State by the Nigerian Army.
The impostor who was identified as Aliyu Hussaini, has been parading himself as a Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army. He is suspected to be a member of the notorious Boko Haram sect and has been using his Army alias to extort money fraudulently from unsuspecting people.
According to Omojuwa, a statement by the Nigerian Army alleges that Hussaini is a sponsor and also a member of the Boko Haram terrorist group. Aliyu was arrested alongside an accomplice identified as Ibrahim Mohammed also known as Yuram.
The pair were arrested in Bauchi Metropolis behind the deputy governor’s house in New GRA. At the time of the arrest, the two suspects were arrested with a total of four mobile phones, two Nokia, one Samsung and one Tecno mobile phones, an MTN sim card, a Peugeot 406 vehicle with Abuja registration number, AU 222 BWR.
