A policeman has been accused of shooting a woman at Opebi in Lagos state leaving her fighting for her life.
A Twitter user with the username @Abba_Kamselem shared the video disclosing the incident occured at Salvation Bus Stop on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
The victim, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was not part of any protest agaisnt the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
The eye witness reported that it was a “planned murder that went wrong” which happened close to the canal behind Rikaz Plaza, Opebi Road.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident saying that the said police officer is not of the state police command but works in Lagos.
Adejobi added that the officer is the boyfriend of the victim and that preliminary investigations suggest that the officer fired a shot at her while they had a disagreement.
The victim is currently in the hospital fighting for her life.
