Trump Distances U.S. From Israeli Strike on Iran, Warns Tehran Against Retaliation

Must read

WASHINGTON, USA — President Donald Trump declared that the United States had no involvement in Israel’s recent military strikes on Iran, cautioning Tehran against retaliatory action that targets the U.S.

In a post published on Saturday, June 14, 2025, on Truth Social, Mr. Trump said, “The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”

He added, “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict.”

Mr. Trump’s comments came amid a sharp escalation in hostilities between Israel and Iran, triggered by a series of Israeli air strikes on Iranian territory that reportedly targeted nuclear facilities and senior military personnel.

According to Iranian media, 78 people were killed and at least 329 others wounded in the attacks.

Among the casualties were several top commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and high-ranking nuclear scientists.

In response, Iran launched ballistic missile attacks into Israeli territory on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

The extent of damage or casualties in Israel was not immediately clear.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, addressed the developments in a statement broadcast on state television, accusing Israel of launching a war.

“Israel initiated a war,” Khamenei said.

“They must not think they can conduct hit and run operations. There will be consequences.”

Earlier in the week, Mr. Trump had issued a separate warning to Iran, referencing the stalled negotiations over its nuclear programme.

He claimed a 60-day deadline had passed for Tehran to reach a new nuclear agreement.

“Iran must make a deal before there is nothing left. Just do it, before it is too late,” he wrote on Truth Social.

The sudden flare-up has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict, drawing international calls for restraint.
