Two uniformed police officers have been filmed in a two minutes clip while they engaged in a serious scuffle men caught on video fighting in an undisclosed area in Lagos State.
The viral footage which was uploaded on Youtube by Sharebitmag on Friday, March 13, 2015 displayed one of the officers on top of the other and punching him mercilessly with a bottle of Alomo bitters lying carelessly at the scene.
Now, the duo according to the force headquarters, are faced with possible dismissal after they have must have been arrested and probed.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, Sunday, March 15, 2015 that the officers would face orderly room trial for their conduct.
He said, “We have seen the video and I can tell you that the men would be identified and apprehended to face disciplinary action. They will face orderly room trial and they will be dismissed,” he stated.
The video, which was uploaded captioned, “Two Nigeria police caught fighting in Lagos,” showed the incident took place at the entrance of a bank.
The second officer was over powered by his rival as he apparently did not return any of the blows.
A crowd of onlookers surrounded the police officers at the start of the video and watched in amusement.
A third officer, holding an AK-47 rifle in tried all he could to stop the fight .
A security guard and another unidentifiable man then appeared onscreen in an attempt to pacify one of the fighters.
