The secretary to the United States Of America John Kerry will be in Lagos on January 25, 2015 to meet with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Marie Harf, Deputy Department Spokesperson, Office of the Spokesperson Washington, D.C.
The purpose of this visit is to discuss about the importance of ensuring a peaceful, non-violent, and credible elections.
Meanwhile in preparation for the forthcoming election, a peace treaty has been signed by President Goodluck Jonathan and general Muhammadu Buhari , of the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside other 12 presidential candidates in Nigeria.
