NAN – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 led more than 50 members of the house to the APC mini convention in Abuja.

The speaker was given a standing ovation ‎before taking his seat at the VIP stand.

On sighting Tambuwal, delegates who sat according to their states at different stands, rose ‎to applaud his entry into the pavilion.

Tambuwal defected from PDP to the APC on Tuesday in Abuja.

There was, however, a free for all at the Abia stand as two factions of the party clashed.

NAN reported that chairs, bottles and charms were thrown and used as weapons during the confusion.

Two men, who were severely injured, were taken to the hospital.

Security agents were not left out as a policeman also had some bruises on his body.

Armed policemen, however, later restored order at the convention.
