The Enugu State auditor, Ogbobe Stephen, who was allegedly kidnapped by Fulani herdsmen has been freed following a payment of N700, 000 ransom.
Stephen was abducted on Saturday, April 16, 2016 on his way back from a town hall meeting at Ukpabi community along Nsukka- Adani highway, Enugu State.
ot was learnt that Stephen alongside five others, ran into a road block mounted by herdsmen around 4pm of the fateful day.
The herdsmen made a N5million ransom demand on Sunday, April 17, 2016 but subsequently reduced it to N1.5million on Monday, April 18, 2016.
They finally accepted the N700,000 which was paid at a designated place in Amokwu community, Udi local government area of the state
