2 Landlords Arraigned For Stealing N3Million Granite In Lagos

Two landlords have been charged before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos State for allegedly breaking and entering a compound at Owode Ado Kekere, Langbasa, Ajah area of the state, to steal iron rods and granite valued at N3million.

The duo of 56-year-old Samodu Jimoh Abudu, and 70-year-old Akeju Salako, were arraigned by the police on a three-count charge of felony to breaking, entry and stealing.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector S. Molo, the accused persons committed the offence on Monday, July 6, 2015.

The prosecutor told the court that the accused persons and others now at large, broke into the compound of the complainant, Oluwasola Sangowawa, stole her iron rod and granite valued at N3 million and ran away.

The court magistrate, A. O. Komolafe admitted the accused persons to N500,000 bail with two sureties, each in like sum, who must have proof of tax payment to Lagos State government.

The magistrate also directed that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the accused.

The case was adjourned until Monday, September 14, 2015 for mention.
