Former Military Administrator of Lagos State and governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party in Adamawa State, General Buba Marwa has assured party delegates in Adamawa Central and Adamawa North Senatorial zones that he will secure the ticket of the party in the next governorship election in the state, noting that the party has assured him there will be no imposition as it happened with former Governor Nyako.
Marwa said this as the 335 delegates assured him of their votes in the next governorship election in the state by voting en masse for him from the Central Senatorial District.
Meanwhile, PDP, delegates in Adamawa North Senatorial Zone have also thrown their weight behind him to succeed the impeached Murtala Nyako in the next election.
Secretary of the PDP in the Northern Senatorial Zone, Dr. Ayuba Tari disclosed that about 90 per cent of the delegates who raised their hands in support of Ambassador Marwa’s gubernatorial candidacy, would do everything possible to ensure that he gets the ticket of the party to enable him emerge as the governor of the state because he is a tested and trusted administrator.
On his part, Chairman of the PDP in the Central Senatorial Zone, Alhaji Danjuma Iliyasu told General Marwa that the delegates were bent on endorsing him for the party ticket because of his unbeatable records of service in Borno and Lagos states which the people of Adamawa State want him to replicate in Adamawa State.
