…Senate Minority Leader Declares Ozigbo/Enemo Ticket Best Choice for Anambra, Igbo Nation

Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, the Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, has affirmed the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, pair of Valentine Ozigbo, and Azuka Enemo as the best choice for Ndi Anambra ahead of the November 6, 2021, Anambra governorship election.

Senator Abaribe made the declaration on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, while speaking at an Anambra PDP governorship campaign rally held at Atani Central School, Ogbaru.

In his address to the mammoth crowd, Senator Abaribe assured that if elected, Ozigbo and Enemo will ensure that Anambra regains its lost glory and live up to its name as the Light of the Nation.

“What we need today in Anambra and Igbo land, in general, is good governance. Anambra no longer needs champagne drinkers, swimmers, and confused people as governors,” Senator Abaribe said.

“Valentine Ozigbo is a consummate professional. His running mate is an astute administrator, an exemplary mother, and a good Christian. They are the best combination in the race.

“You can all attest to the fact that Anambra is broken and needs visionary leadership to rescue it from the doldrums. I urge you all to vote for PDP come November 6.

“Do not be afraid coming out to vote. Come out and exercise your franchise. Security agencies are already top of the situation,” Senator Abaribe.

While addressing the gathering, Mr Ozigbo, whose wife, Mrs Ojiugo Ozigbo, accompanied, expressed optimism that PDP would sweep polls in Ogbaru, given the level of acceptability of the party in the area.

“I ask you come out en masse on November 6 and vote for good governance. We’re in the race to bring good governance to Ndi Anambra, and I assure you that Ogbaru will shine if you give us your mandate,” Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, said.

“Ogbaru is known for agriculture, and we plan to bring an agricultural revolution to Ogbaru. We will build roads in agrarian areas across the state and initiate policies to make farmers proud of their profession.”

Also addressing the rally, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 election, His Excellency Peter Obi, lamented that Ogbaru has suffered untold neglect under the incumbent APGA government, reassuring the people that the PDP is the best option for Ndi Anambra.

“During my tenure as governor, I built roads from Onitsha to Osomala in Ogbaru and from Atani to Ozubulu, even in Ogwuanocha. Since I left office, no single road has been constructed in Ogbaru, and the old ones were not maintained,” Obi said.

“Infrastructure in Ogbaru is now obsolete and in a state of neglect. Come out on November 6 to cast your vote for PDP and Valentine Ozigbo. Ozigbo will complete all abandoned projects and do much more. He is committed to a better Anambra State.”

The Hausa and Yoruba communities in Ogbaru presented a plaque of support to Mr Ozigbo pledging to vote en-mass for the respected business leader in the November 6 election.

Several PDP leaders and directors of the Anambra PDP Governorship Campaign Organisation attended the event, including Mrs Azuka Enemo, Chief Cosmas Agagbo, a former Chairman of the PDP in Anambra; Amb Oseloka Obaze, the Anambra PDP guber candidate in 2017.

Others are Hon Chukwuka Onyema, the lawmaker representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives; Hon Somto Udeze and Noble Igwe, the lawmakers representing Ogbaru I and Ogbaru II State Constituency respectively in the Anambra State House of Assembly, and many others.

Valentine Ozigbo is a multiple award-winning global CEO and inspirational leader. Since his emergence as the PDP candidate in June 2021, he has continued to build momentum around his candidacy, securing the endorsement of several political, religious, market, and women groups.
