Following the victory of incumbent Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State – the first incumbent governor to get re-elected in the state – a former governor and candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the election Adebayo Alao-Akala has put a phone call through to Governor Ajimobi, congratulating him on his victory.
Meanwhile another former governor, Rashidi Ladoja, who contested on the platform of Accord Party has kicked against the election result, claiming widespread irregularities.
Ladoja came second in the election while Alao-Akala was the second runner up.
