Father Mbaka endorses current Deputy President Ike Ekweremadu before the 2015 elections in Enugu

Jude Ndukwe pens an open letter to Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka on his recent outburst against his Bishop over his transfer to a rural parish from Enugu township.

I write you this letter with all sense of humility and deep respect for you and your calling as a priest of the Holy Mother Church. This letter has become absolutely necessary owing to your recent political activities which are causing the Church huge embarrassment. As a Catholic myself, I, as other Catholics, are now forced to bear the shame of your recent activities and asked questions about the transfer policies of the Church which ordinarily should not have caused any public inquisition if you had not caused it to be so.

Fr, it is unfortunate that as a priest of the Catholic Church, you have allowed your emotions to take you beyond your allowed limits in partisan politics before, during, and after the last elections.

Pray, what is in a transfer of a priest in the Catholic Church? You were transferred from one parish to another, an exercise that is a normal routine in the Church, and instead of you to move quickly and quietly as expected, you caused a whole lot of needless hullaballoo and in an attempt to curry public sympathy, made your transfer look like anything but usual in the Church. The razzmatazz and revelry that graced your movement to your new parish is alien to the Church! You are gradually eroding the very fabric that makes the Catholic Church unique and uncommon among others.

Were you the only priest transferred? Why did other priests not cry to the public about their own transfers? Did you reach an agreement with the Church on the day of your ordination that you should be exempted from transfers? Fr, you need not be reminded that you are a priest of the Catholic Church and not a pastor of any other denomination. It is no longer news that priests of the Catholic Church do not belong to themselves but to the Church wholly, fully and entirely, hence, you took an oath of not only obedience to your Local Ordinary, the Bishop, but your oath also included that of poverty. So, the Bishop exercises his prerogative to transfer any priest serving under him to areas where their services are most needed among other considerations. Just like you were transferred from somewhere else to Christ the King Parish, GRA, Enugu, you have also been transferred to Our Lady Parish, Umuchigbo, Njinike also in Enugu.

It would be ignorant of me to think that you actually thought Christ the King Parish, GRA Enugu would be your parish forever. No priest of the Catholic Church would ever think a particular posting of his would last for too long. For example, in Abuja Archdiocese from where I write you this letter, there are brother-priests of yours who have been transferred from the highbrow area of Maitama to a parish in a remote village like Yangoji in far away Kwali LGA, just as there have been priests transferred from Igu, also a very remote village in Bwari LGA, to Our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Gwarinpa, and then to Our lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral, Garki, and so on and so forth. Are you not aware of brother-priests who have been transferred from the comfort of parishes in Nigeria here to remote places even in war-torn and less developed countries like Chad, Sudan, Mali, Sierra-Leone, Burundi etc.

Some of them in areas so remote cars cannot even get there nor is there electricity, yet, they went in obedience and without noise. Fr, how is yours supposed to be different?

You complained about the parish house you are to occupy as being too small and by implication, not comfortable for you. The question is, was it not a brother-priest that just used and left there? Are you saying that other priests can remain to serve God’s people perpetually in a one room self-contained apartment while you enjoy the comfort of a gigantic parish house perpetually?

Fr, John the Baptist served God effectively in the wilderness; all the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ left all the comfort of family and wealth and followed willingly and without complaining, the Son of Man who had no place to lay His head. Fr, from which part of the scripture did you get your reason for complaining?

To describe your transfer as a witch hunt is the most uncharitable comment any priest can make against his bishop especially in public. You are not a Pentecostal pastor or a General Overseer of any church, you are a priest of the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. You own no church and you own no parish. The gifts of the Spirit (miracle, healing, prophecy etc) which God has blessed you with are not the emphasis of the Church. The Catholic Church places more emphasis on the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is what ultimately helps a man to make heaven: “…Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name. But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws’”. There is no ordained priest no matter how gifted that has survived a confrontation with the Church. They go quickly into oblivion soon after while the Church waxes stronger. Fr, be very careful!

You lamented about the assets of the Adoration Ministry and where you were going to keep them since your new parish is too small to contain them. I understand your concern especially as I am also aware of the enormity of the assets being an archdiocesan official of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, Abuja, myself. However, just like you admitted, you have “given” the assets to the Catholic Church in Enugu. So, if you have “given” the assets to the Catholic Church, why not just hand them over to your Bishop who knows how most appropriate to take care of them. Why do you still cry over that which you have “given” out? More so, you know that as a Catholic priest, you own nothing! There is no major asset even including a car that you can own without the consent and blessing of your bishop. This is how the Catholic Church is structured. This is how the Catholic Church works. So, those assets never belonged to you ab initio, they have always belonged to the Church. Just take an inventory of them and hand them over to the appropriate authorities. They know what to do with them.

One of the reasons why our priests are not allowed to own anything of their own is so that when the call of service comes and they are asked to go anywhere at the shortest notice, they would not have to look back at what they would be leaving behind so that they do not drag their feet on obeying the call to service. Lot’s wife looked back and turned to a pillar of salt. Fr, why are you looking back?

As I end this letter, let me remind you that your gifts of the Holy Spirit do not come in isolation. They come with enormous responsibility! Enough of this ridicule you have subjected the Church to. Focus your attention on your apostolic calling and leave politics for politicians. If you are so interested in joining politics and making your mark there, you know the right thing to do. Stop parading about like a colossus that the Church is so badly in need of. No one man or group of men can hold the Catholic Church to ransom. Even if the Lord decides that you answer the eternal call today, Enugu diocese will never fold up!

I pray that God will lead you aright in all your endeavours.

  1. Jude Ndukwe, you’re nothing more than a PDP apologist and it’s people like you who use social media platforms to seek for cheap popularity. Your open letter to Father Mbaka only exposed your gullibility. People like you should allow those who wants Nigeria’s progress to speak out!

    • Mbaka was posted to that parish from another parish and he did not complain. The Rev. Fr that was posted out did not complain. Is Mbaka not aware of the mandatory posting of Priests every three to five years? I blame the Bishop anyway for keeping him that long in a parish.

    • @Mazo zola please can you be so humble to esplain what makes mr jude a PDP apologist? please while explaining, i want you to objectively fault his letter

    • This is another nauseating reaction to a simple opinion. The fact that you left the issue and attacked the person shows how shallow your thoughts are. Speak to the issue first then you can draw your conclusions. Must you politicize everything? The writer to my mind had articulated his arguments and presented them logically as the issue demanded. But your reply smacks of intellectual challenge. If you feel strongly about his opinion, write your own!

  2. Nice letter. But Fr. Mbaka does not need this essay on doctrine of transferring and transferability of priests. A priest that serves well in a place must be encouraged to expand; not forced to relocate. Using transfer as a way to sanction his Successful Ministry is not the best outcome as at this moment. After all our God and the Church must be served with our various skills and opportunities, not with envy, verbal and church organized political aggressions.

Not even with warning letters like this one. He will remain Fr. Mbaka with the Catholic church or even if he is asked to stop functioning as a priest or posted away to overseas as it has happened to some priests, his God will continue to work with him. Wherever the chosen prophet of God resides and works there is a ministry that will spring up for God and the community.

I have personally written syndicated articles around the ministry of Fr. Mbaka, and even criticized some of his comments with regard to knowledge and performance. Being a Catholic priest should not warrant anyone to ask him to stop speaking out against politic issues in town. It is his right.

May God continue to bless him and guide him to minister to the Catholic faithful of his time. His Bishop is not likely to have a good time with this manner of transfer. He can justify the transfer with the policy in place, but there may be exceptions where a transfer can turn out to look biased and humiliating to the served.

    • Mr Patrick, is there anything so special in d transfer of a priest? Why d political attachment to church activities? Does a priest need a warning letter to be transferred. Pls let’s remove emotions n face squarely d workings of d church. I am a great admirer of Fr Mbaka but I don’t see anything so special in his transfer. Priests get transferred everyday, he is not more than a Priest, so his transfer is not worth a discussion.

    • Reading comments on this transfer too many, I thank democracy for giving space for both the ignorant and the wise to say their mind. Those who wish the priest well should pray for him. May he enjoy the healing power of transfers. If there are souls there, let him dutifully go, or move the assets. Jesus Christ went about doing good and had “no where to lay his head”. God forgive all who have insulted the Church and the Bishop for performing their duty.

    • I don’t know if you remember vividly that all clergies of the catholic church handed over their rights to the church via the words said @ ordination, if you truly know that much as you ascertain.. Mr. Patrick I don’t know if you recall that the catholic ordinance prohibits the clergies from making political proclamations of course which is the sole duty of the diocese’s PRO if there’s a need for that @ all. whatever he case may be I believe in order for the church to retain its integrity and long lasting respect that it has ever maintained, the church and her clergies (not excluding Fr Mbaka ) should publicly stay outta politics, despite whatever point it is he/she has to prove to avoid making the church’s integrity porous/ ‘percussive”.

    • Transfer of a Catholic Priest is never a sanction. It is a call to service. Did he not come to that Parish from somewhere else??? He can as well expand the new place.

  3. By and large, Fr. Mbaka does not work alone as a Catholic Priest. He is surrounded by a galaxy of other Catholic priests in the ministry. Let the dimensions of his life and ministry be studied and encouraged.

  4. Boy o Boy!

While I was dragging my feet (thankfully, I didn’t turn to salt) to put few lines on this Fr. Mbaka matter as I am well informed, here comes Jude Ndukwe, conducting a thorough diagnosis, dissecting and painstakingly articulating the crux of the matter and by extension; educating the ignorant among us. This guy, knows his stuff, wasn’t abusive but fearlessly saying it as it is. That was awesome!

I urge all those who have spewed many ignorant stuff ranging from claims that the Bishop was under pressure hence had no option but to transfer Fr. Mbaka, to those who postulate that the Church is playing politics and subtly supporting PDP and many other crap; to take time and read this stuff to know the truth. What I seem not to understand is, why don’t all these critics postulate that Fr. Mbaka, because he is so gifted and had helped to build his former parish, has been transferred to a parish in dire need of spark and growth? That is also a possibility but no, they all prefer to join Fr. Mbaka and play politics with the decision of the Church. That is not right. While I have no qualms with those who attack Fr. Mbaka personally, it is wrong to attack the Church who doesn’t owe anyone an explanation as to why the transfer was made. Fr. Mbaka, gave them the right to attack him when he crossed the line to dabble into politics but the Church did not do same because Fr. Mbaka does not speak for the Church but himself.

May I also add something critical about the Church that Jude didn’t touch on. The Catholic Church would always give you a long rope. For her Priests, the Bishop would even employ a very long rope. Patience, is a critical tool of their leadership. When a priest is perceived to possess the gift of the Holy Spirit, the said spirit, would be put to test in various ways. The Bishop, doesn’t do this instantly. They watch from afar, allow the spirit to manifest significantly and observe how the ordained priest handles this viz a viz the accompanying fame and followership that comes with it. At this point, their vow of Obedience and Poverty is put to test. Pride vs Humility would be ascertained. Beyond been a priest, Fr. Mbaka is a regular guy who has emotions and shortcomings. How he handles this elevated status when subjected to the pronouncements of the Bishop to ALL diocesan priests, would help test and validate the efficacy cum authenticity of the spirit still in control. While one can start off well with true gift of the Holy Spirit, there is every possibility that the priest could drift/deviate from the work of God and lose the gift. God never assured that the gift would remain forever regardless of our conduct.

Because I am in no position to assess or make insinuations on the gift Fr. Mbaka has, we submit to the decision of the Bishop and view this simply as a routine transfer subject to the discretion of the Bishop.

If he erred, he is human and it is divine, that forgiveness would come if he believes. May God bless and guide Fr. Mbaka along the right path.

    Practicing Catholic

  6. I have personally written syndicated articles around the ministry of Fr. Mb aka, and even criticized some of his comments with regard to knowledge and performance. Being a Catholic priest should not warrant anyone to ask him to stop speaking out against politic issues in town. It is his right.

  7. My question for you people talking about Mbaka is that: where did you get your info from, did you hear it directly from him? Did they tell give you the entire address or just phrase of the whole speech; did they explain his body languages while delivering the “so claimed” utterances?

And please you people should not assume the responsibility of the Bishop. Allow him to do his work. Thanks

  8. If Christ is to visit us again, from a poor and unrespected family and has to preach the word of God undiluted and uncensored as did He thousands of years ago . who will believe and follow Him intoto among the named Christians of our era including the custodians of the church today. Remember, faith to be His follower does not need our today”s protocols that hinder or restrict gospel no matter how small. His sermon will always be very difficult for many to swallow and believe.

  9. Fr. Mbaka has stayed at CKC GRA Enugu for more than 25 years. CKC is not his birth right or his own. I can remember Christ tell his Apostles”let us go to the other side”.Mbaka should know that his continued stay at CKC GRA will breed bad blood among the diocesan priests. Also his new parish will be closer to the Adoration ground .However, for the APC to start joining issues with the church is a joke too far for the party. Its indicative of a party full of busy bodies.

  10. Allow God to be the judge, most Nigerians hate the truth, Father Mbaka has delivered the message that God sent him and like Martin Luther King history will forever be kind to him if God can help us revive Nigeria, you letter is only good for the reading, spare us the Catholic story and allow God to judge the reverend father, his Bishop and the Church

  11. I never wanted to comment on any of fr mbaka’s issues that has been causing unnecessary issues in this country, but since it has come to the service of God directly, i think this is the height of it all.!!
Mazo zola, please don’t bring in any political stuff here cuz mr ndukwe never mentioned any. Maybe ur not a catholic, incase you didnt read the letter well, father mbaka took OATH of alot of responsibilities including the normal TRANSFERS that other priests do go through, so his own shouldn’t be an exemption!!! And alao NOTE that fr mbaka made his transfer public which is so unnecessary , so he has to be corrected in public too. He is supposed to be doing God’s work whether in a conducive environment or not cuz he knew about it from the very start before he took those oath of allegiance.
Like mr Ndukwe rightly wrote, fr should take notes of those assets and hand them over to His bishop, they are in good hands, none of those assets rightfully belongs to him. He should focus on his service to God and not be conformed to the things of this world. Let the truth be told!!!!

    • ALL OF U COMMENTING HERE,DID U HERE FR MBAKA SAY ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE MEDIA?I ADVICE U ALL TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PRAY FOR OUR PRIESTS.THANKS.

  12. I never wanted to comment on any of fr mbaka’s issues that has been causing unnecessary issues in this country, but since it has come to the service of God directly, i think this is the height of it all.!!

  13. D writer if dis article is notin bt an insane owing 2 d fact dat (1) Mbaka did not in anyway reject d routine priest transfer. (2) Dat Mbaka cannot by any means compare or see like a juniore priest. (3) Most importantly is 2 edge him under a priest or vicar as if he is new priest. (4) Not minding millions of folowers across d globe. (5) His moving to his new place must b noticed n well prepared cuz of his activities n his followers and so many reasons.
So my dear writer, just dig well on any mata u want 2 write and remove sentiment or bias mind if u really want people to even attempt ur essay cuz i myself could not read futher ur nonsense pages.

  14. And i forgot to add that we should please focus on the many issues our country is facing right now to find solutions and not add any personal or unnecessary issue to it, as far as am concerned fr mbaka’s transfer is never an issue to talk or debate on, i can still say it for any other priest that complains, after all, they were never forced to be a Catholic Rev father.

  15. And what has a political analyst got to do with Ecclesiastical matters? Jude Ndukwe critisized Fr Mbaka of playing politics, in other words, that he (Fr Mbaka) is bereft by his priestly vocation to express hi views about d political mess in the country. That is an unfounded point. Nevertheless, if Fr Mbaka should mind his religious vocation, and not “interfer” in political matters, should the self acclaimed but false writer Jude Ndukwe also not have minded his political analyses? That means, he (Jude Ndukwe) is also interferring in the Ecclesiastical issues of which he has no authority or mastery to do. Hypocrite condeming a righteous!!! Rubbish write up.

    • Shut up which righteous? If it was a story about a pastor any tom dick and Harry will comment….. Father mbaka na assistant Jesus?

  16. Well jude you should speak for yourself, I’m a Catholic I see nothing wrong in a prist trying to help shape his country. But then I understand you fall in the category of those who hate change and development. Even if he did something wrong, he is human not God or Jesus christ or the holy spirit. U are so ancient

  17. Jude Ndukwe sounds so authoritative in an area he knows little of. But he can be forgiven because his skewed sentiments was clearly exposed by the write up. He may have been among those who started the ridiculing of the Church if there is anything like that. Those who started celebrating Fr Mbaka’s transfer about 2weeks before it was announced. They started the ridicule. Now that it has come and gone, people should mind their business and not complain. Since they have been given the ‘head of John De Baptist’ they asked for, they can as well ask Herodias what she did with her own.

  18. Am very reluctant in commenting on this more polarized issue concerning Fr Mbaka who is actually a man of God by all standards However let me put it to my respected writer or poster that if his (Fr Mbaka) transfer is not political motivated, then why placing a very senior Rev Father of Mbaka status under another father since according to sources he has been in GRA Enugu as a priest for more than 2 decades It is the right time we tell ourselves the truth and stop condemning men of God who stand for the truth

  19. The Church has the power and the right to transfer any priest whenever and no matter how long the priest has stayed in his current parish. It happens regularly and Fr. Mbaka’s case is not an exception. The transfer is usually for the good of the Church and the Priest in questions even though it might be quite hard-sometimes-for the priest. So the fact that it seems quite hard for Fr. Mbaka-or he makes it to appear so does not mean that the transfer was politically motivated. Sometimes it is usually hard for the Priest-because we human beings tend to naturally resist changes from our comfort zones even though when those changes might benefit us in the long run-but eventually the priest would be glad that he was transfered.

Though I think that the APC and the press misinterpreted his words about “suffering ” to mean purnishment. Every priest sometimes find it hard to change to a new location-This is even while the Church transfers Priests so that they don’t get too comfortable since it is not good for their auster life, their work/vocation and poverty in imitation of Jesus Christ-the poor servant of God who also suffered living us exaple to follow.

  20. Priest like father Mbaka should and need to be transferred out of any station in four years period so that people in other parishes shall benefit from his spiritual endowment .His primary duty as a priest is to win and save souls for God and that he can do any where,In fact i pray that in the next four years to come let him be transferred to my home parish.St Theresa,s parish Nguru in Ngor/Okpala.Fr Mbaka you are highly welcome in advance.

  21. God is the final judge. But as Humans, we can’t help but notice an anomaly. If you are not a catholic or a theologian who has an idea of the workings of the catholic church, you have no business commenting here. Jude did justice in this write up. I can’t talk about Fr Mbaka’s prophecy cos I don’t have power there. But people of God, Fr Mbaka cannot handle fame at all. Is he could, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Every one has a right. But our calling also define the limits for each person.

  22. JUDE NDUKWE, Touch not my Anointed and Do my prophet no harm.
NON OF YOUR BUSINESS. KINDLY FACE YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR BUSINESS. FR MBAKA IS A HUMAN BEING, HE CAN SOMETIMES ACT LIKE A HUMAN BEING. PRAY FOR HIM. REGARDLESS OF HIS WEAKNESSES, JESUS LOVES HIM. GOD WILL GIVE HIM THE GRACE TO CHANGE THAT SMALL PARISH INTO A PARADISE. UNION OF PRAYERS.

  23. Well said brother Jude. Thanks for your boldness. Most times our priests forget the oat they swore before the Lord and are carried away by mere earthly happenings…..it is rightly written, you are not of the world. Most of them seem to forget that part of the bible.

  24. Ikem Adimorah, pls close that ur silly and dirty mouth and say what you only know.how many years has father mbaka been as a priest? you blackmailer.Note:touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm…mind your business before heaven strikes you.

  25. Wat i understand from leter is dat u are just a fool.wat qualifies u to write a leter to fr mbaka if u are not in sane. U are just an ordinary fool. Vagabond.

  26. pls people should leave fr. mbaka alone and face there own business. many people are not happy with him(fr.mbaka) because he speaks about politics, Jude ndukwe! do u know that the politicians in this country are very corrupt, hv u ever speak about it for one day? well I’m not here to ask u a question, but my own is that if fr.mbaka didn’t speak who will.truth is always better, he is telling the politicians to change from there bad ways. people should always remember wat the scripture says in the book of Matthew chapter 7:1-5

  27. Pls next wen writing such letter sure u don’t use on behalf of all Catholic’s member, so u are now d speaker of all d catholic churchs. Pls maybe u shld just give ur opinion or dat of ur entire family. Coming to d issue I tot rev fr mbaka is a holy ghost father and as long as I know they don’t get transferred to other parish.

  28. Nonsense why are they telling him he is not a Pentecostal pastor? Are Catholic priests better than Pentecostal pastors? Who told them Pentecostal pastors have a right to reject transfer? Pastors work in Gods vineyard and should go anywhere the gospel needs to be preached. Catholic priests r not holier than Pentecostal pastors. They all have good ones and rotten eggs too..

  29. In the good old days for Mbaka would be recalled to Rome for observation over months or years. He surely exceeded the boundary limits of a catholic priest.

  30. Hnnn. The life of a catholic priest is like that of a soldier.soldier go soldier come barrack remain.May God use Fr Mbaka to uplift his new parish.Obedience is better than sacrifice.

  31. “You are the salt of the earth; but if salt becomes insipid, with what can it be salted? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men” (Mtt 5:13). In this ‘eventual condition’ is implied that there is the possibility of the disciples losing the essence of their identity (protasis), and the inability of any external agent to restore it (apodosis).

  32. the person that wrote this letter is he pope or cardinal that he have to write on behalf of catholic church. Many people are playing with the name of church i don’t think holy spirit will forgive them. Mr writer fr mbaka have obeyed bishop in order of his oath in priesthood so mind your words because the curse will come one day . But I know that one day the truth will manifest because u can close the mouth that speek the words but the word can’t go back until it fulfilled.Ur eyes will see it but u will not benefit on it

  34. Okpatalu nku ahuhu si ngwele pukwuta ya oriri – he who brought in fire wood infested with ants, has attracted the company of lizards. It’s my brother Fr. Ejike who has brought the Church this far, that anybody anywhere, with little or no knowledge of the life of the church and her priests, are freely talking, judging the bishop of Enugu diocese. Regarding the posting, let us all stop talking about it for all of us knows that ‘for all who love him everything turns to their good’ (Rom.8:28). Let us stop sympathazing for Fr. Ejike unless he requested that from anybody; he should be grateful to God that the work he was sent to do at CKP he has successfully accomplished and pray for the grace to do even more at Emene. Being a ‘Holy Ghost Priest’ does not give one any licence to talk anyhow or talk to and about people anyhow. If a priest wants to talk to or about his senior, he should do so with respect. Priests should be humble enough to listen to the advice of their elders. One of the pieces of advice Paul gave Timothy as his elder is in 1Tim5:1. It says: “Do not speak harshly to a man older than yourself, but advise him as you would your own father.” What is the need of making disparaging statements about our leaders and calling them names at prayer centres? We are getting all sorts of prophecies about Nigeria and her leaders but nobody has prophesied on how our naira should strengthen and compete with USD and GBP. Fr. Ejike should take the advice of his many brothers from both among the clergy and the laity. He is not the first priest to be gifted and he will not be the last.

  35. D road that leads to my parish is a death trap, Even when other surrounding roads are completed yet our pp cannot talk to d government. But Mbaka cannot keep quite if he is our pp. Sorry for those that are disturbed by Mbaka’s comment, THEY DON’T KNOW THE MEANING OF MBAKA.
Pls if u think that Mbaka has lost d way Y NOT ALLOW HIM TO REDISCOVER HIMSELF and stop putting SALT to d INJURY. BE WISE

  36. We love you fr mbaka,mr essay writer, you can as well talk about politicians if you’re strong enough.Since you’re much interested in affairs of rev father,i advice you train one of child to become one

  37. this write up is totally rubbish. A prophet does not remain claim when things are not moving out right in the city, it also happened in the days of ELIJAH. we all have seen the massive billion dollar loots ever since being questioned about ever since Buhari gained power into office. assume even GEJ continued, this country would have been long lost to corruption and as of the REV. FR transfer. he’s also human quite alright cos for 25years they have refused to transfer him from CKC while now, Use your common sense b4 questioning wat u don’t understand period and no need of pointing fingers cos as far as am concerned he made d catholic faithful proud of saying the truth even b4 d election. Not all the fake pastors that alleged to open gate of hell on anybody that refuses to vote in GEJ in the name of collecting huge million dollar to their ministry. corrupt country

  38. Fr Mbaka’s transfer is not a SANCTION but a call to serve and to share his God given gifts with the people of his new parish. Christ and the Apostles did not remain in just one location to spread the gospel. They (St. Paul as a typical example) lived among different christian communities and shared the totality of their lives and knowledge of Christ with them. This is the calling of the Catholic Priesthood; ‘a call to serve and not to be served’. LET US ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR PRIESTS

  39. Godbless u Jude Ndukwe and thanks for sharing out my thoughts & opinion if Fr. Mbaka wants to go into politics he should quit being a catholic priest and stop dragging the catholic church into politics. A true man of God should be willing and ready to accept responsibilities in respective of were he is assigned to and stop been choosy or arrogant, his case shohld be tabled before the Pope soonest,May God help us all.

  40. Hw sure did u people kw fr Mbaka reject his trasfer, do u hear or see him reject it people nd rumourn, becareful wot u said abt a man of God no mata if the fr is wrong u ar nt meant to judge him all dis write up is false even people dat doesnt went to his adoration once dey hear fake news dey wil start debating it nd i call dem enemies of the ministry, except Mbaka nd nnamdi kanu who else is pointing out the evil dis politicians do, y wont u said wot u kw dat is evil.

  41. Please for those of u that is complaining about Rev Fr Mbaka my question to u all is this Are u a good father or a good mother to ur children how do u manage ur family with ur wife or with ur husband how do work in ur office or in ur business what did people say about u are u a perfect man or woman in everything use urself and answer the questions. then have Fr Mbaka said anything without it happening if yes please tel me one and show me the prov we Africa we Nigeria do love to say truth we love to we Road and enter bush may God help us all to open our spiritual eyes to see the truth and say it all by the power of Sacrament Baptism we are Priests and prophets of God the any priest or prophet that didn’t do his work well may be question by God I so much Believe Fr as a Catholic priest and as prophet he is doing his work in the God went him to do it not the you as a man or woman went it please those of us who have stay out off there work and business and office just to talk anyhow we went may God forgive us all even all the pastors priest bishop whom for one way or the other talk any how because of Fr Mbaka may God forgive u all … amen … all pastors and priest God call u to pray for the good of our nation Nigeria and that of Africas so go back on ur Nile and ask to open all the way to speak the truth about God not about money may God bless our priest may God bless Fr Mbaka may God bless Nigeria and may God bless all those that we the truth and said it from Don Nnaji

  42. I think you are I think you are getting it all wrong. None of the parties you mention are at loggerheads; not the Bishop nor the priest. I feel we are dancing to the rhythm of desperate editors who can disparage whoever they can use to sell their papers for the day. Please let the clergy settle their thing their own way. Even you Ndukwe writing this letter. You cannever achieve anything by inciting unnecessary comments and raising dusts over frivolities. Please steer clear from the affairs of the Church and try to evaluate certain issues critically before you jump into conclusions. Thank you and may God lead us.

  43. Mr Jude Ndukwe be careful about what you say or analyze concerning the man of God. The scripture says “listen to my prophet that you may prosper and do my prophet no harm”
It is unfortunate that we criticize the prophet who spoke un behalf of the poor masses and abhor listening to him but the Lord carried out his messages.
What do you do to other prophets who sit in their comfort zones watching the poor masses going down day by day?
    Leave Fr. Mbaka alone!!!
I pray for more powerful and unquenchable spirit upon you fr. Ejike Mbaka.

  44. We started that adoration at GTC Enuguy b4 moving to Christ the king parish GRA and finally to the permanent site Iji Nike. What marvels me in all these drama is that Rev Mbaka was posted to thesame Iji Nike where he has his permanent adoration ground. Should I say that the Bishop has done something wrong by posting this man of God to the community that gave him acres of land to build his permanent adoration ground or maybe some people are speaking on his behalf. Pope JohnPaul I said that the church should be poor and helper of the needy. Why should Mbaka even think again after he has been posted by his Lordship. Even if its a punishment, he should embrace it cos it part of the journey to Calvary. Did the Bishop asked him to stop his Friday adorations? Even if the Bishop post Mbaka to Eritrea, people from Nigeria will still troupe to that country to see him. Pls enough of this Mbaka Saga cos as a core adoration follower am becoming ashamed.

  45. change! change!! change!!! this is more than a political promise or party slogan as change they said is the only constant thing in nature. Mbaka should just embrace change and stop complaining, after all he was a crusader of changer agenda
