Nigerian Army Warns Against Fraudulent Websites, Says Civilians Not Admitted To Medical School

The Nigerian Army School of Medical Science, NASMS, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, clarified that civilians are not admitted into the school.

The NASMS in a statement by Yusuf Mohammed, the assistant director Army Public Relations, Headquarters Nigerian Army Medical Corps, warned the public against fraudulent and fake websites claiming to officially belong to the medical school.

He warned that the fraudulent websites ask unsuspecting applicants to pay a fee to gain admission.

Part of the statement reads: “The attention of the Nigerian Army School of Medical Science, NASMS, has been drawn to some fake social media accounts.

“Particularly on websites which fraudulently claim to be the official websites of the NASMS, claiming that they could assist prospective applicants gain admission for a fee.”

Mohammed said NASMS has not adopted the online mode of application for admission or payments and does not admit civilians.

“The general public is hereby notified and warned about these fake social media accounts and websites.

“NASMS has no part in the establishment or operations of these fraudulent social media websites,” he added.
