Unknown gunmen have snuffed the life out of a couple Mr and Mrs Don and Nkem Okoro, who just arrived Nigeria from Texas in the United States of America.
It was learnt that the couple who had five children had come down to Nigeria to spend the holiday and use the the opportunity to attend the funeral ceremony of a relative when the gunmen attacked them along Benin-Onitsha Expressway.
Unfortunately, on their way to their hometown armed bandits murdered the couple alongside their two-year old niece who was in the car with them.
Contrarily, a different account of the story had it that the deceased died following a ghastly motor accident which they encountered in their bid to escape the attack of the armed robbers.
According to reports, on Sunday, December 21, 2014 the Nigerian community in Houston is in mourning and says their death was regrettable and it was something that could have been preventable if only the country was security conscious.
