#BabaGoSlow? ‘We ask for your patience’ – Buhari On Chibok Girls

Must read

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 asked Nigerians to exercise patience as regards the expected rescue of the over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped from Chibok, Borno State over a year ago.

Speaking while hosting members of the #BringBackOurGirls (#BBOG) group at the Presidential Villa, President Buhari assured the campaigners, led by former education minister and coordinator of the BBOG group, Oby Ezekwesili that his government would do its best to rescue the girls.

Lamenting further, the president said: “It is ironic how Nigeria, which helped Sierra Leone, Liberia and South Sudan,‎ is now asking for help from Niger and Chad. How have the mighty fallen!”

Also present at the occasion were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh and the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.

Buhari has taken no definitive action against the dreaded terrorist group since he assumed office on May 29, 2015. Leading some analysts to declare him incapable of fighting Boko Haram.
