President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed the former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, an Ambassador at Large.
An ambassador at large is an ambassador who is not assigned to a particular post but is appointed on special duties by the President.
This was disclosed through a statement released by the Public Communication Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, June 16, 2014.
