Actor Robert Pattinson has tested positive for Covid-19 while filming filming for his new role on The Batman.

The production has been forced to halt filming only days after it resumed.

Filming had been put on hold amid COVID-19 pandemic, but recently resumed just outside of London.

Now, the lead star, Pattinson has caught the bug, bringing production to a grinding halt again.

Warner Bros shared a statement which read: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.

“Filming is temporarily paused.”

The Batman also stars Andy Serkis as Bruce’s butler Alfred, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farell as notorious gangster The Penguin, and Paul Dano as the question mark-obsessed Riddler.

Jeffrey Wright also co-stars as Commissioner Gordon, while John Turturro takes on the role of a crime boss.

The film is directed by Matt Reeves, renowned for his work on the Planet of the Apes franchise.

“It’s a criminological experiment,” he enthused of his film, “He’s trying to figure out what he can do to finally change this place.

“You see that he’s charting what he’s doing, and he’s seeing he isn’t having any of the effect that he wants to have yet.”
