Former US first family welcomed a new member of their family Friday night.
Chelsea Clinton, 34, gave birth to her a daughter with investment banker husband, Marc Mezvinsky on September 26, 2014 and she took to Twitter to announce the news shortly after midnight. The baby has been named Charlotte.
Ms. Clinton is the only child of former US President Bill Clinton and his wife and former first lady, Hillary Clinton who is also former US Secretary of State.
“Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky,” Chelsea Clinton tweeted of the arrival of her baby, 4 days ahead of the due date.
Proud father and first-time grandfather retweeted her tweet and so did Hillary Clinton.

There are so few mysteries in life… any answer is a happy one,” Ms. Clinton said as she explained why the couple opted not to know the sex of their baby before birth.
“So my husband and I decided that we would enjoy this mystery for the nine-plus months that we’re granted, and we are eager to find out what God will have given us.”
Ms Clinton had resigned from her $600,000-per-annual job as a “special correspondent” with NBC News in August to “concentrate on motherhood” and her work with the family philanthropic foundation the Clinton Global Initiative .
Hillary Clinton, who is widely expected to run for US President in 2016 has said that she would not take a decision on launching her campaign until her grandchild was born.
“Now I’ve been thinking a lot about family because you know I’m on ‘grandbaby watch’ and I think a lot about this new member of our family and what he or she can look forward to,” Mrs. Clinton told the audience at a women’s event earlier in September.
