Bishop T.D. Jakes Being Stalked By Former Female Member, Tries To Hit Security With Car

Must read

Fearing for the life of someone close to Bishop T.D. Jakes, pastor of The Potter’s House Church, Dallas, Texas, District Judge Susan McCoy, has issued a temporary restraining order against Karleisha Tarver, for stalking Jakes, even though she used to be a member of his church.

The temporary restraining order will remain in effect against Tarver, until a hearing on February 24, to determine whether further action should be taken against the troubled woman.

Reportedly, the former member of Jakes church, tried to regain access, several times, to the church, even though she had been “excommunicated” from the congregation in 2011. Finally Tarver was arrested on January 26 and taken into custody on charges of criminal trespass. She is being held on bail of $1,000 at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, Dallas.

Apparently, forgiving as he is, Jakes had finally had enough. After almost three years, of Tarver turning up where she was not supposed to be, he let the authorities handle the issue. Since being barred from the congregation, in May 2011, she has frequently shown up at Jakes’ house in Tarrant County, Texas and his church.

Tarver has served 15 days in jail during the last three years and six months in a mental institution on account of her constant disregard for the wishes of Bishop Jakes and his congregation.

According to Faith Johnson, attorney for Jakes, he decided to again file a complaint against the seemingly confused Tarver because his patience was wearing thin and the incidents of trespass were escalating.

Allegedly, Tarver had shown up at the residence of Jakes, four times during the month of January along with trying to get near him earlier, in the month inside the church where he was preaching. She was escorted from the church and his home by security officers.

Police were informed of the actions of Tarver on January 7 because it was believed that she had progressed from being a nuisance, to a serious threat to someone’s safety. She allegedly tried to run down an approaching security officer after she had been seen in the driveway of Jakes’ church, with her car.

Maybe the confused woman just wants to become a part of Jakes congregation again, but apparently she is not persuading them correctly. Tarver is cited, in court documents, of approaching the church on at least three separate occasions in January, screaming obscenities at other members.
