The four year old boy, Omonigho Abraham, who was attacked by their landlord’s two German Shepherd dogs in Adegboyega Street, Akesan Estate of Igando Lagos State, has returned from a medical trip in India and is said to be ‘back to normal’.

Abraham together with his parents, Odia and Helen entered Lagos state on Thursday, January 29, 2015

Abraham’s scalp was ripped off by the dogs while he was playing with some other children and it became a serious case.

The police officials later arrested and paraded the two dogs for causing such havoc to the family.

The victim was transferred to the Lagos state University Teaching Hospital where his condition deteriorated which propelled his father to withdraw him from the hospital due to neglect by the officials.

According to Punch, in December, the victim’s father announced that the Delta State Government and a non-governmental organisation, Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care had concluded plans to fly him to India.

The Lagos State Government had another plan for the boy’s treatment but the family decided to shun that and go ahead with the India trip which was already prepared.

They left for  the treatment on Friday, November 28, 2014 despite efforts made by Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Mr. Jide Idris, who expressed fears on the boy embarking on the journey owing to the severity of his condition.

After their return, the father of the victim Mr Odia said, “The doctors in India have completed their job. My boy is back to normal. I thank God that everything is okay.”

He showed immense gratitude to all and sundry who were there for them during his son’s plight especially the Delta State Government, the NGO, the media and the Lagos State Government.
