The All Progressive Congress, APC, candidate in the Ondo state governorship election, Rotimi Akeredolu is in clear lead in the election.
The incumbent governor is leading with 53,380 votes in 14 local government areas announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Akeredolu has polled a total of 213,251 votes in 14 LGA’s while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, polled 159,871 votes. The deputy governor and candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Hon Agboola Ajayi got 44,175 votes.
INEC is yet to announce results from Ondo West, Odigbo, Ilaje and Ese Odo.
